We
love to sing and make music to the glory of God. We sing with a song
in our hearts. We seek to inspire the gathered worshippers to join us
in singing inspirationally the hymns, the spirituals and other songs
of Zion.
All
who enjoy singing are invited to join the music program at St. John's
Presbyterian Church to help "make a joyful noise unto the Lord."

Mens' Ministry
The purpose of the Men's Ministry is
to build Christian fellowship among the men of the church. Further,
to combine the talent, time, and tithe of men in the membership to enhance
the quality of life in the church to the glory of God.
This
ministry includes:
• A male chorus providing music and song for worship each second
Sunday
• An annual Men's Day celebration in October
• An annual project
• An annual gift to the church
• A monthly meeting every first Saturday

Our three-fold daily goals are:
• to honor God with our lives
• to follow Christ our Lord wherever He leads us
• to invite the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us
This
ministry includes:
• An annual Women's Day celebration in November
• An annual Palm Sunday breakfast
• An annual family luncheon
• A monthly Bible study, prayer, and business meeting every third

David
A. Harmon Memorial Scholarship Fund
Bette K. Harmon established the David
A. Harmon Scholarship Fund in March 1987. Mrs. Harmon is the widow
of the late Rev. David A. Harmon, who served as pastor from 1976 to
1987.
Rev. Harmon placed special emphasis on ministry to the youth and seniors.
Thus the scholarships fund assist young scholars in the realization
of their educational goals through scholarships and book awards in the
memory of Rev. David A. Harmon.
The
fund receives its revenue from members of St. John's Presbyterian Church,
funds raised, donations from the community, and graduates who give back
to the fund.
The
David A. Harmon Scholarship Fund is a community ministry with a 501(3)c
status.
